Hy-Vee last month opened its largest store in Urbandale, Iowa, a 95,000-square-foot supermarket that includes its first table-service restaurant. The store, which replaces an older location that had been nearby, will eventually be expanded to include a gas station and c-store, a year-round garden center and an outdoor seating area adjacent to the restaurant. The store employs more than 600 workers.
