Safeway Expands Northern California Footprint With New San Jose Store

Safeway, a division of Albertsons Cos., recently opened its newest San Jose, Calif., store at 1455 Berryessa Road in Market Park. This marks Safeway’s 14th location in the city and its second new store to open within the past year in San Jose. Safeway employs over 1,700 associates in the city of San Jose. “We continue to invest in the San Jose community, and we are glad to see this exciting new development come to fruition,” said Karl Schroeder, Safeway division president of Northern California, in a statement. “Market Park is an ideal transit-orientated destination along the Berryessa corridor.
