ShopRite owner RoNetco Supermarkets Inc. plans to open a state-of-the-art supermarket in Sussex, New Jersey, that will include everything from groceries to hardware.
Located at 1 Wiebel Plaza, the newly built store is set to open on Wednesday and will bring 250 full- and part-time jobs to northwestern New Jersey.
Hailed as a “one-stop shop experience,” the new store includes a True Value Hardware department featuring a wide selection of items for home improvement projects. Another store highlight is a temperature-controlled, walk-in fresh seafood market.
ShopRite of Sussex customers also will find the supermarket banner's Bowl & Basket, Wholesome Pantry and Paperbird own brands as well as locally sourced foods and a variety of fresh-prepared and restaurant-style meals.
And to reduce its eco-footprint, the new ShopRite uses energy-efficient refrigeration and lighting, along with LED lighting throughout the store and parking lot.
RoNetco, a family-owned company with nearly a century in the grocery business, owns eight ShopRite stores in northwestern New Jersey.
“RoNetco Supermarkets has a long history of commitment to the communities where our ShopRite stores operate, and we look forward to officially becoming a part of the great Sussex community,” said Dominick Romano, co-president and chief operating officer of RoNetco Supermarkets, in a statement.
ShopRite of Sussex, part of the Wakefern Food Corp. grocery retail cooperative, will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
