When they send pictures and/or videos of their displays to [email protected], they are entered in the Gold for Gold Retail Display Contest. The store with the best display will receive a full load of Del Monte Gold Pineapple and one ounce of 24 carat gold – or a donation of equivalent monetary value to a charity of their choice). “Del Monte Gold delicious meal or served as a nutritious snack,” says Dennis Christou, vice president of marketing, North America for Del Monte. “Pineapples can be enjoyed year-round, especially in the fall when interest in cooking and baking is heightened as we approach the holidays. We designed this promotion to create excitement about our pineapple even during a normally slow sales period.” Along with other prizes, Del Monte will be giving away one ounce of 24 carat gold to each of fifteen lucky winners. At the end of the sweepstakes, Del Monte will select one grand-prize winner who will receive one pound of gold.
