In anticipation of Easter celebrations, Giant Food Stores is renewing its free ham program in which customers can begin earning extra rewards points toward a free ham certificate when they shop with their BonusCard from March 22 through April 21.

“At Giant, the holidays are always about bringing families together around the table to share a special meal,” John Ruane, SVP of merchandising for Giant Food Stores, said in a statement. “Following the successful return of our beloved free turkey program this past fall, we are turning our attention to the centerpiece of the Easter table and we are excited to offer our valued customers one more way to save on their Easter dinner.”

A current tally of a customer’s extra rewards points is listed at the bottom of the receipt after shopping with a BonusCard. Customers can redeem their certificates for a free ham between April 12 and April 21 at any Giant or Martin’s Food Markets location, though the retailer is also encouraging shoppers to check program details and eligibility at their specific store location.

Customers can either redeem their ham to take home or donate their free ham to their local food bank or pantry at any Giant or Martin’s store.

Giant Food Stores, a subsidiary of Ahold Delhaize, has more than 170 locations under several store banners, including Giant, Martin’s Food Markets, Giant Heirloom Market and Giant Direct.
