Hurst's Berry Farm, Inc. has reorganized its marketing, sales and packing operation into a brand new entity - HBF International, LLC. "HBF" is the acronym for Hurst's Berry Farm, and "International" denotes the scope of the business which will be sourcing product and marketing internationally.

Currently product is being sourced in the United States (California, Oregon and Washington), Canada, Mexico, Chile and Argentina. In addition, product is marketed worldwide with over 15% of the product line sold outside of the USA. As part of the new agreement, HBF International will have exclusive rights to the Hurst's Berry Farm logo and image, and will continue to market and sell under the brand.

Hurst's Berry Farm, Inc. will continue to operate as a farming company with operations in Oregon and subsidiaries in Mexico. Hurst's Berry Farm currently farms blueberries and kiwiberries in Oregon, and its Mexico subsidiaries farm and export raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. 100% of its production will be marketed, sold and packed by HBF International.

The purpose for making the change in structure is to accommodate future growth and to give clarity and focus to each aspect of the company. Mark and Patty Hurst, sole owners of Hurst's Berry Farm, Inc., will be taking on a partner in HBF International, Doug Perkins. Perkins has worked for Hurst's Berry Farm for over five years, during which time the company has enjoyed extensive growth as a direct result of having Doug on board.  As Managing Director, Perkins will focus his energies on the growth of HBF International, while Hurst will split his time between HBF International and Hurst's Berry Farm, Inc.

"The timing couldn't be better to form a new company designed to strengthen our position in the market," says Mark Hurst.  "While the berry business is good, we want to ensure that we stay on the correct path for years to come, which having Doug on board will help us do."  Adds Perkins, "We want to continue to exceed our customer's expectations, while at the same time remembering our mission of 'Leadership, Loyalty and Excellence.'  This partnership does just that."
