Local Farmers Partner with Giant Food to Expand Local Offerings

In partnership with more than sixty-three local farmers, Giant Food will offer an array of farm fresh produce grown within its store's local communities. Among the popular local produce items that are currently in season and available at Giant Food are corn, tomatoes, green beans, mushrooms, squash, blueberries, cucumbers and green peppers. “Giant Food prides itself in supplying our customers with the freshest, highest-quality groceries possible,” says Gordon Reid, president, Giant Food. “We are pleased to enhance our relationship with the local grower community and connect all of our shoppers with the very best seasonal fruits and vegetables grown nearby.” With the summer growing and harvesting season now in full swing, enhance your next backyard barbecue with locally grown, fresh produce.
