A smooth textured cheese, it is made in small batches of 6-8 LB loaves and commonly served as an appetizer or on sandwiches or hot dishes because it melts well, say company officials. It has a suggested retail price of $5.99. Also new, joining the company's line of White Cheddar is a 9-month Sharp White Cheddar. Tillamook wanted to offer the same 9-month white cheddar profile that has been so successful in the yellow 9-month cheddar made with vegetable rennet. This product will be made with animal rennet.
