84830 logo in a gray background | 84830Pairing its chickpea-based hummus with an Italian import, Tribe rolls out its latest Limited Batch flavor, Rosemary Focaccia, a zesty, tasty and fragrant spread that captures the essence of the herb-infused Italian bread, company officials say.

Inspired by the Italian staple, Tribe's Rosemary Focaccia Hummus is a blend of chickpeas, rosemary spices, extra virgin olive oil and lemon. The aromatical flavor will be a welcome addition to summertime soirees and backyard barbecues, officials add.

The gluten-free product will begin to appear on shelves nationwide in May and will remain until the fall.  The suggested retail price of the eight-ounce bowls is $3.49.

Tribe's Rosemary Focaccia Hummus is the third flavor in the company's Limited Batch Series, which is a special collection of flavors that aims to expand the hummus experience for chickpea lovers and first-time tasters alike.  The  flavors are created by Tribe's in-house chefs and tasting panel.

Last year, the company launched a horseradish-infused flavor entitled, Cocktail Time, as well as its Everything Hummus, an inspired and modern take on the classic everything bagel with roasted sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic and onion.

"We've had such a great response to our previous Limited Batch flavors, and our new focaccia-inspired offering will certainly get mouths watering anew," says Adam Carr, CEO of Tribe Mediterranean Foods.  "Our famed chickpeas don't mind sharing the spotlight with other ingredients, especially those that are so rich and bold in flavor."

This new hummus flavor is expected to be a seasonal favorite at snack time and during meals, officials say.  They recommend asparagus as the vegetable of choice for dipping. They also suggested a chilled Chardonnay to pair with this Italian-inspired flavor, as the pine and citrus notes from the hummus complement the butter and oak of the wine.  Other suggestions for enjoying the Limited Batch flavor include a warm baguette and, of course, focaccia bread.
