Brookshire Grocery Co. is offering consumers discounts on groceries when shoppers fill their gas tanks at 23 of its participating Super 1 Foods supermarkets with fuel centers in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.

TYLER, Texas — Brookshire Grocery Co. is offering consumers discounts on groceries when shoppers fill their gas tanks at 23 of its participating Super 1 Foods supermarkets with fuel centers in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. "When customers purchase $35 or more in gasoline at a Super 1 Foods fuel center, they can present that fuel receipt in the store and receive a 5% discount on their grocery purchase," said Rick Rayford, company president and chief executive officer. "Everyone has been hit hard by rising energy costs–businesses and individuals alike. This is one way we can help." Rayford said the Super 1 Foods stores will offer the savings on groceries for customers who fill up at participating fuel centers beginning Aug. 6.
