New Education Opportunity for Produce Executives

WASHINGTON - United Fresh Produce Association's Research and Education Foundation, in partnership with Cornell University, launched open registration yesterday for the United Fresh Produce Executive Development Program, a new educational program for produce executives. This is the first of its kind in the produce industry to offer top-level executives a leadership development program.

WASHINGTON - United Fresh Produce Associationā€˜s Research and Education Foundation, in partnership with Cornell University, launched open registration yesterday for the United Fresh Produce Executive Development Program, a new educational program for produce executives. This is the first of its kind in the produce industry to offer top-level executives a leadership development program. United predicts that this first session, taking place March 11-16, 2007, will bring in more growers and shippers. The five-day program will focus on topics such as effective executive decision making, team decision making, management vs. leadership as a style, negotiation and conflict, the economics of the retail and food service distribution channels, among others.
