Aldi takes a page from Trader Joe’s with latest merch

Aldi is jumping on the cooler bag caravan this summer.

The discount retailer is now selling mini cooler bags for under $10.

The bags come with a front pocket that can be zippered and an adjustable padded shoulder strap. The bags also have bungee cord storage on top and are currently available in the following patterns: strawberry, beach ball, yellow color block, and blue color block.

Trader Joe’s started the mini cooler bag craze in early June by offering hot pink and turquoise bags for $3.99.

Earlier this year, the retailer launched mini canvas tote bags, which proved to be a big hit with shoppers. Some of the $2.99 items were priced for resale at upwards of $500.

USA Today reported shortly after the mini-insulated tote bag release that some of the items were being resold online for as much as $89.99.
