SKOKIE, Ill. — Topco Associates recognized a number of its members for successfully promoting and marketing Topco brands in 2010 with Corporate Brand Marketing Excellence awards.

SKOKIE, Ill. — Topco Associates recognized a number of its members for successfully promoting and marketing Topco brands in 2010 with Corporate Brand Marketing Excellence awards.

Coborn’s Inc., St. Cloud, Minn., was honored for growing Food Club sales 12% in 2010 through Truckload Buys, Meal Deal Events, and Compare and Save campaigns.

Another recipient, Spartan Stores, Grand Rapids, Mich., was recognized for making the PAWS brand its complete pet care solution and rebranding its pet aisle as such last year. It developed special print ads and in-store bag stuffers to introduce the brand and grew its private-brand pet business 12%.

United Supermarkets, Lubbock, Texas, was also given an award for successfully engaging customers in the all-natural and organic Full Circle brand while giving back to communities with its "Complete the Circle" campaign. For Every Full Circle product purchased, United donated an equal amount of food to local food banks, up to 200,000 pounds.
