'WATERWORLD' SET FOR JANUARY VIDEO RELEASE

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. -- "Waterworld," which gained notoriety as the most expensive film ever made, will be released to the rental market Jan. 23 from MCA/Universal Home Video here. The title will have an order date of Jan. 8. The Kevin Costner movie will be promoted with a 12-pack offer that will include a "Waterworld" wristwatch, a Henley shirt, a vinyl banner and four self-adhesive point-of-purchase

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. -- "Waterworld," which gained notoriety as the most expensive film ever made, will be released to the rental market Jan. 23 from MCA/Universal Home Video here. The title will have an order date of Jan. 8. The Kevin Costner movie will be promoted with a 12-pack offer that will include a "Waterworld" wristwatch, a Henley shirt, a vinyl banner and four self-adhesive point-of-purchase stickers. Additional support will include post-street date advertising focusing, in part, on the sales of previously viewed tapes. Also Jan. 23, MCA/Universal will release "A Mother's Prayer," a top-rated program made for the cable USA Network, and feature 10 titles in its "Low Price Collection," including five starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
