BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Funeral services were held here Oct. 29 for Al Schreiber, president and chief executive officer of Royal Farms, the parent company of Big R Supermarkets Warehouse here.

Schreiber had been president and CEO of the company since 1966. According to a Royal Farms spokesman, the company has not yet decided who will assume his titles.

He is survived by his wife Ellen; two daughters; a son Michael, current vice president of Royal Farms; and four grandchildren.
