Andronico’s Community Markets surpassed $1M in Instacart sales. Andronico’s, the San Francisco Bay Area specialty retailer launched their partnership with Instacart, the online grocery delivery service, last August in three out of four of its trade areas including San Francisco, East Bay and South Bay.

“We’re very happy with our results so far,” said Bridget Kwok, Marketing Director for Andronico’s.  “At approximately 3% of company wide sales, Instacart’s on-line platform is helping us reach Andronico’s fans all over the Bay Area, including Oakland, Emeryville and the entire city of San Francisco—areas well outside our brick and mortar parameters.”

Instacart has also signed on as a strategic partner for Andronico’s FitMarket - FitBank fitness challenge and rewards program.  Following the enormous success of the inaugural “Sweat 16” challenge that just concluded with almost 200 participants, the “InstaFit” challenge kicks off this Sunday, February 28th.

“We believe that all of our customers should have access to healthy foods -- whether or not they have time to go to the grocery store. We’re excited to collaborate with Andronico’s Community Markets and FitMarket to encourage healthy living,” said Vishwa Chandra, VP of Retail Accounts at Instacart.

“Instacart has been a tremendous innovation partner to us as we position Andronico’s to lead our communities today just as uniquely as we did in 1929,” says CEO Suzy Monford. “Digital is the largest element underpinning our growth strategy, and Instacart, along with partners ShopWell for healthier eating made easy, and Sweat.Works Global Gym app for our fitness rewards program, are the platforms that are creating our evolution.”
