Braga Fresh Adds Joe Pulido to Farming & Harvesting Operations
January 1, 2018
Braga Fresh Family Farms announces they have hired Joe Pulido as farming and harvesting manager. The most recent addition to their expanding team of produce veterans, Pulido will be overseeing planting, farming and harvesting of more than 30 premium-quality organic vegetables growing on geographically diverse ranches Braga Fresh owns or controls from the Salinas Valley throughout California and into Western Arizona. Prior to joining Braga Fresh, Pulido worked at Grimmway/Cal-Organic Farms for nearly 26 years playing a pivotal role in all aspects of farming operations. He contributed significantly to the company’s growth by setting and directing exceptionally high quality standards in the field. Pulido grew up in farming, coming up through the ranks doing every job and working his way up to foreman and beyond, following in his parents’ footsteps of taking pride in a job well done. “Like many on our team who have been working with my family for decades and sometimes multiple generations, Joe brings a lifetime of organic farming knowledge and experience,” says Rod Braga, president and CEO of Braga Fresh. “He makes our strong team even stronger. Working with our vice president of farming, Nick Trebino, and vice president of harvesting, Raul Garnica, Joe will help us continue to expand Josie’s Organics to be the leading premium organic vegetable brand.” “Joining Braga Fresh is so exciting,” Pulido said. “Braga Fresh has beautiful organic ranches—the best ground in the world. I’m joining a great, young and energetic team that’s working together to take Josie’s Organics to the next level. It’s a challenge and a great opportunity.” Joe and his wife Sandra have two sons and four daughters, and in his spare time when he’s not working on restoring vintage cars, he enjoys taking his 4-year old into the fields to learn about organic farming and catch ladybugs.
