Canadian food packaging company, CKF is pleased to announce its newest development in sustainable packaging with the acquisition of the Vancouver-based Earthcycle Packaging. This acquisition will further strengthen CKF product offering while providing opportunities to access new markets with an expanded portfolio of sustainable packaging products. The Earthcycle brand will be maintained providing continued service to the agriculture and produce industries. Ms. Shannon Boase has been appointed as Director, New Market Development and will continue to oversee the brand vision of Earthcycle within CKF. “The acquisition perfectly fits CKF Inc.’s vision and plan for growth,” says Ian Anderson, President of CKF.  “We’re looking forward to providing a new line of products to our current customers as well as servicing new customers and markets. The addition of the Earthcycle brand and the skills and expertise of Shannon Boase enhances CKF’s foundation for growth in the ever expanding sustainable packaging market.” Shannon Boase founded Earthcycle in 2005. Earthcycle has been awarded and recognized among peers for its development of innovative packaging made from palm fibre, a renewable resource formerly considered an agricultural waste. The food packaging products are certified compostable, recyclable and renewable. “It has always been our intention to align with a much larger player in the packaging industry, to leverage their scale and expertise in distribution and sales,” says Boase.  “The acquisition furthers our vision of providing innovative packaging products and materials that are renewable, recyclable and compostable. CKF is a natural partner for Earthcycle due to its locations, material expertise and strategic growth goals.”
