DemandTec to Acquire Connect3 Systems

DemandTec here, a provider of price optimization systems for retailers and consumer products manufacturers, announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately held Connect3 Systems, Cerritos, Calif., a provider of advertising, merchandising and promotions software, in an all-cash transaction.

SAN CARLOS, Calif. — DemandTec here, a provider of price optimization systems for retailers and consumer products manufacturers, announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately held Connect3 Systems, Cerritos, Calif., a provider of advertising, merchandising and promotions software, in an all-cash transaction.

The transaction has been approved by DemandTec’s board of directors and is expected to close during DemandTec’s fiscal quarter ending Feb. 28.

The Connect3 solutions support merchandising and advertising departments and include cross-media budgeting, workflow management, versioning and other advertising execution functionality. Connect3’s customers include Giant Eagle, Spartan Stores and other retailers.

DemandTec’s customers include Giant-Carlisle, H.E. Butt Grocery, Safeway, Delhaize America, ConAgra Foods, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and General Mills.
