Wakefern Names Meat Division VP

Food Corp. here has named Mark S. Greenberg to the position of vice president of the meat division.

Greenberg had been senior manager of meat sales, merchandising and procurement since 1991, and was previously meat sales manager for Supermarkets General Corp.

In his new post, he oversees finances, merchandising, sales and procurement in the meat division, as well as operations of meat warehouses in Elizabeth and Wallkill, N.J. He reports to the vice president of perishables, Frank Rostan.

Greenberg succeeds Kevin Mannix, who left the post to become executive vice president operations and merchandising for ShopRite Supermarkets.

A retailer-owned cooperative, Wakefern is the cooperative wholesale merchandising arm and distributor for ShopRite Supermarkets operators in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
