Fleming Taps Brand Manager

Kraft is responsible for developing Fleming's new upscale Marquee Premium brand product line, formulating marketing plans and assisting Fleming's distribution centers in bringing the Marquee Premium product line to retail customers.
Kraft joins Fleming from Woodbridge, N.J.-based Sunshine Biscuits where he was district sales manager in Kansas for six years. Kraft also has 14 years experience in the retail grocery area, serving as co-manager with Pilgrim's and Price Chopper in Kansas City.
Kraft reports to John Huffman, senior vice president of procurement-sales.
Gourmet Coffees Appoints VP
BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Gourmet Coffees of America here has named James M. Wayman to the new position of vice president of marketing.
Wayman will direct all marketing, customer service and public relations activities for the company. He reports to Dennis Boyer, president and chief executive officer.
Wayman joined GCA last January after being affiliated with its predecessor company, Brothers Gourmet Coffees, for six years, while he was president of America's Coffee Cup, a company which places gourmet coffee concessions in supermarkets.
GCA, the manufacturer of Brothers and Cafe Du Jour supermarket brands and Fairwinds gourmet shop brand, is the largest purveyor of gourmet coffees to supermarkets. The manufacturer operates plants in Denver; Bow, N.H., and Pittsburgh.
PET's Old El Paso Restructures
ST. LOUIS -- The Old El Paso Mexican food marketing group within PET Inc. here has changed from a functional structure to a product line organization, resulting in several brand management changes. The group continues to be directed by Robert Black, group vice president of Mexican foods.
Dede C. Catsavis has been named vice president of marketing for Old El Paso canned and bottled sauces and new ventures. Most recently, Catsavis had served as the vice president of marketing for frozen foods.
Susan T. Nichols has been named director of marketing for Old El Paso meals, with responsibility for taco shells, dinner kits, refried beans, seasoning mixes and other nonsauce product lines. Nichols was the marketing manager for Mexican foods.
Caesar Mercardo has been named senior product manager, and will continue to have full responsibility for the Las Palmas brand of Mexican cooking and dipping sauces and refried beans.
