Weight Watchers Appoints VP

tchers Food Co. has named Roger Adams vice president of marketing, succeeding Jay Abraham, who left the company.

Adams was president of Weight Watchers Development Co., a division of Weight Watchers International, which is responsible for the company's franchise weight loss centers. He has a broad packaged goods experience and has held positions at RJR Nabisco and PepsiCo.

He reports to Brian Ruder, president and chief executive officer of Weight Watchers Food Co.

A wholly owned affiliate of H.J. Heinz Co. here, Weight Watchers Food Co. manufactures and markets more than 250 Weight Watchers brand food products, and has annual sales of approximately $850 million.

Distribution Manager at Stouffer

SOLON, Ohio -- Robert C. Dries has been named distribution manager, a new position, as part of a reorganization of responsibilities within Stouffer Food Corp. here.

Dries will oversee all aspects of warehouse and distribution management for the company. Dries, who began his career with Stouffer in 1977, most recently held the position of production manager for the Solon plant.

Eskimo Pie Adds General Manager

RICHMOND, Va. -- William "Giff" Breed has been named general manager of planning and marketing for Eskimo Pie Corp. here. Breed was vice president of marketing at AMF Bowling. In the new position at Eskimo Pie, his responsibilities include brand management.

Eskimo Pie also has named Robert Gould group product director in the marketing and planning department. He will be responsible for all of the company's base brand products and the Tootsie Pop product line. Gould had served as the senior brand manager. Both Breed and Gould will report to L. Bradford Armstrong, executive vice president of sales and marketing.
