Albrecht Adds Support Position

echt Grocery Co. here has named Stan Baranauskas manager of technical support, a new position.

Baranauskas will manage the installation and programming of main-frame hardware and software for Fred W. Albrecht, which is the parent company of Acme, Acme SuperCenter and Y-Mart stores.

Previously, Baranauskas served more than 12 years as a senior systems programmer for both Trans Ohio Savings and Brush Wellman.

Powell Named Head Of Second ICL Unit

DALLAS -- Fujitsu-ICL Systems here, a division of International Computers Limited, London, has named Rod Powell president. Powell retains his position as president and chief executive officer of ICL Retail Systems, another division of International Computers.

Powell had been acting president of Fujitsu-ICL following the death of his predecessor, Neal Davenport, earlier this year. With his two positions, Powell is now the main coordinator of International Computer's North American and European retail divisions.

Fujitsu-ICL Systems, a supplier of integrated information systems to North American retailers, is the North American unit of the International Computers, which operates in more than 70 countries.

4 Executives Move Up at Knogo

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. -- Knogo Corp., a manufacturer here of electronic article surveillance systems, has announced several executive promotions.

Robert T. Abbott was named senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer. He had been vice president of finance and CFO.

Peter J. Mundy will be vice president corporate controller and chief accounting officer and report to Abbott. He was corporate controller.

Stewart Zucker was named vice president of sales for the Eastern United States and Canada. He had been national account manager and regional sales manager of the Eastern region.

John Whiteman was named vice president of sales for the Western United States. He was national account manager, account executive and regional sales manager, Midwest.

The appointments were announced by Tom Nicolette, the firm's chief executive officer, president and chief operating officer. Nicolette added the CEO title following the death of the company's chairman and founder, Arthur J. Minasy, in May.
