Kash n' Karry Names Smith VP

th has been named senior vice president of perishables for Kash n' Karry Food Stores here. It is a new position.

Smith was previously director of deli, bakery and food service for Harris-Teeter, Charlotte, N.C. Before joining Harris-Teeter three years ago, Smith was vice president of deli, bakery and food service for Mayfair Super Markets, Elizabeth, N.J.

In his new post, Smith will be responsible for meat, seafood, floral, deli, bakery and produce merchandising for the 99-unit chain. He reports to Kash n' Karry's president, Ron Johnson.
