Riser Foods Adds VP Position

Riser Foods here has named Len Meuti vice president of warehousing and transportation, a new position.

Meuti previously served as director of distribution. In his new position, he oversees all warehousing and transportation operations at the retailer's three distribution centers.

A 23-year veteran of Riser Foods, Meuti has also served as warehouse supervisor and assistant warehouse general manager. He reports to Frank Manetta, executive vice president of wholesale operations.

Bozzuto's Names Pennell Manager

CHESHIRE, Conn. -- Bozzuto's here has named Joe Pennell as transportation manager. He succeeds James McCusker, who left the company.

In his new position, Pennell will be responsible for all transportation and traffic operations, garage and fleet maintenance, outbound deliveries, and identifying backhaul opportunities. He reports to Tom Zatina, executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Pennell previously served as regional director, general manager and operations manager for the Lily Transportation Co., Needham, Mass.
