Richfood Holdings Adds Corporate Post
ldings here has named Gary Conrad corporate executive vice president of distribution and logistics, a new position.
He is responsible for coordinating distribution and logistics operations in the company's four divisions, which include Richfood here; Super Rite Corp., Harrisburg, Pa.; Rotelle, Philadelphia, and Metro/Basics Retail division, Baltimore.
Conrad previously served as executive vice president of distribution and logistics at Richfood and is succeeded in that position by John Kalita. Kalita had been vice president of perishables warehouse operations at Richfood.
Price Chopper Taps Jablonski as VP
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Price Chopper Supermarkets here has named Tom Jablonski vice president of engineering and construction. He succeeds Ingo Pointner, who left the company.
Jablonski is responsible for all architectural services, construction, maintenance and energy conservation for Price Chopper stores.
Most recently serving as president of a contractor building retail stores, Jablonski has also held management positions in construction and engineering for several divisions of Kroger Co., Cincinnati.
He reports to Lewis Golub, chairman of the board and chief executive officer.
AWG Appoints Systems Directors
KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Associated Wholesale Grocers here named Randy Berry director of business systems and Chuck Zepf director of retail systems, both new positions.
Berry, who previously served as manager of business systems, reports to Doug Boehmer, vice president and controller.
Zepf was manager of retail systems and reports to Dave Thompson, executive director of information services.
