ORLANDO, Fla. - The 10th annual Friends of the Industry Dinner here was a forum for awards, good works and social mixing. The event, held during the Food Marketing Institute's Midwinter Executive Conference, has now surpassed the $500,000 mark in aggregate contributions in the past decade to causes espoused by the industry. SN Publisher Jerry Rymont presented the magazine's annual awards for Community Service, Diversity and Marketer of the Year at the forum. The Friends Dinner presented its Founders Awards. The dinner followed FMI Midwinter's opening reception.
