PHOENIX — The trial date for Mike Gilliland, the former chief executive officer of Sunflower Farmers Markets who was arrested in February for allegedly offering to pay for sex with an undercover police officer who said she was 17, has been pushed back to Jan. 19, 2012, according to reports.

The trial, in Maricopa County Superior Court here, was scheduled to begin Monday, Nov. 14. Gilliland's attorney had requested a 60-day delay, according to a report on AZcentral.com.

Gilliland, who founded Wild Oats Markets, had resigned from Boulder, Colo.-based Sunflower Farmers Markets after his arrest.
