GRAND UNION 'SANDWICHES' 3 SECTIONS

WAYNE, N.J. -- There may be a free lunch, after all -- as long as it's a second lunch put together from sandwich components cross-promoted by Grand Union Co. here.

> The ad was divided into three segments, one for each department. A photograph of a basket of Kaiser rolls and a sandwich on a roll set off the bakery segment.

"Get one package of six golden brown, crusty, baked-fresh-in-store Kaiser rolls free when you purchase one package at our regular low price," the ad said.

In the other two segments, the ad offered a pound of turkey breast and a piece of New York State cheddar. Grand Union officials could not be reached for comment on the ad.
