TROY, Ohio -- Hobart Corp. here has introduced a turnkey pizza program modeled after its Chicken-To-Go program.

ger, U.S., for Hobart.

Turnkey pizza programs have been available to supermarkets for years. Kazmaier said, however, that the Hobart system offers an advantage in that it can be easily tailored to a customer's specific product needs.

"For example, while we supply supplier contacts as part of the program, we're not locked into a particular type of crust or a particular brand of sauce," said Kazmaier.

The Hobart pizza system is specifically designed for in-store delis, as is the chicken program, which was introduced in 1992. In addition to equipment -- ovens, refrigeration, prep stations, display warmers and proofers -- the system includes a training manual, video and merchandising materials.

Hobart is a leading supplier of food equipment for the food retail and food-service industries.
