Interstate Warehousing Opens Two Expansions in 2012

Interstate Warehousing has completed the Phase IV expansion at its Indianapolis (Franklin), Indiana cold storage facility. The 140,000 square foot expansion brings the total size of the facility to 568,000 square feet. The building, originally constructed in 2005, went through expansions in 2008 and 2010 prior to the current addition, which is now operational. Interstate Warehousing’s Chicago (Joliet), Illinois facility is also undergoing an expansion in 2012. The Joliet warehouse is expanding its freezer capacity with an addition of more than 100,000 square feet of space. This expansion will be operational in September and will increase the size of that facility to 346,000 square feet. Company-wide, Interstate Warehousing owns and operates more than 80,000,000 cubic feet of frozen and refrigerated warehousing & distribution space throughout the United States. “This is an exciting time for Interstate Warehousing,” said Chuck Tippmann, president of Tippmann Group/Interstate Warehousing. “As our customers continue to grow, we look forward to being able to serve them in bigger and better ways through these new additions to our facilities.
