Kellogg Company Elects Two New Members to Board of Directors

Kellogg Company has elected Noel R. Wallace and Carolyn M. Tastad to its board of directors. Wallace is currently president, Colgate-Palmolive Latin America. He began his consumer products career at Colgate-Palmolive in 1987, and has gained nearly 30 years of experience building, growing and transforming businesses within the company and in emerging markets. In addition to his current Latin America role, he has held responsibilities in Turkey, Russia, Poland, Mexico, South Africa, Puerto Rico and Uruguay, and previously led the Company's North American unit and Global Sustainability Strategy. Wallace currently serves on the nonprofit board of Project Sunshine, and has previously served on the boards of several nonprofits, including the American Cleaning Institute, Personal Care Product Council, and American Chamber of Commerce in Poland and Mexico. "Noel brings valuable experience with consumer goods in emerging markets, which is an area of increasing focus for Kellogg," says John Bryant, chairman and CEO of Kellogg Company. "The board and company will benefit greatly from his experience of meeting the demands of an increasingly digital, mobile and global consumer base." Tastad is currently group president, Procter & Gamble North America, responsible for the company's business in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. The North American market is the company's largest and most profitable region, representing 40 percent of P&G's total revenues. Tastad's extensive 30-year career in consumer goods at P&G has included roles in general management, acquisition integration and customer business development. She has held responsibilities at both the global and regional levels, living in the U.S., Canada and Switzerland. In addition to her membership on the Kellogg board of directors, Tastad also serves on the boards of the Grocery Manufacturers Association and the Cincinnati Museum Center. She previously served on the Wella AG corporate board and several nonprofit boards in Canada. "We are extremely pleased to welcome Carolyn to our board," says Bryant. "Carolyn brings a wealth of experience in successful brand building, innovative growth strategies and global operations in the consumer goods industry."
