KING TO BE NAMED ALBERTSON'S PRESIDENT

BOISE, Idaho -- Albertson's here said last week that John B. Carley will retire in February as president and chief operating officer and Richard L. King will succeed him. King, 46, is currently senior vice president and regional manager of Albertson's divisions in Florida, northern California and southern California. He has been with Albertson's for 28 years in numerous retail operations positions and will report to Gary Michael, who continues as chairman and chief executive officer, Carley, 61, will retire Feb. 2 -- the same day Warren E.
