LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Jim Hanlon has been named chairman of Leaf North America here, a new position.

In his new position, Hanlon will be primarily responsible for maximizing growth opportunities for the Donruss Trading Card business and continuing to develop Leaf business in Mexico and Latin America.

The company's board of directors has not yet named a new president of North American operations.

In another change, Lex Prichard has been named senior vice president, operations, at Leaf North America, with responsibilities for the five Leaf domestic production plants.

Prichard succeeds Jim Grubiak, who has retired. No successor has been named to fill Prichard's previous position, vice president of logistics.

Leaf produces Jolly Rancher, Milk Duds, Heath and Whopper candies; Rain-Blo bubble gum, and Donruss baseball and hockey cards. The parent company, Huhtamaki Oy, is a publicly traded company based in Finland.
