EATONTOWN, N.J. -- Manhattan Bagel Co. here has named Bruce Walton director of operations.

In his new post, he succeeds Michael Ryan who was named vice president of operations earlier this summer. Walton reports to Ryan.

Manhattan Bagel franchises, licenses or operates more than 340 units in 19 states, some of them inside supermarkets.

Supermarket chains that have Manhattan Bagel units inside selected stores include D&W Food Centers, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Vons Cos., Arcadia, Calif.; Kroger Co., Cincinnati; Clemens Markets, Kulpsville, Pa.; Save Mart, Modesto, Calif.; and H.E. Butt Grocery Co., San Antonio.
