rican Frozen Food Institute here has begun production of a five-minute segment for The Best of Food Trends, a national television series narrated by Robin Leach.
Food Trends, produced by Worldwide Target Demographic Television, addresses topics unique to the food and beverage industry. AFFI's segment will air next month on The Discovery Channel and CNBC in all 211 U.S. markets, reaching approximately 141 million households.
"Our main objective with this program is to communicate to consumers that the frozen food aisles offer a variety of wholesome, nutritious and creative products that can help them bring balance to their hectic lifestyles," said Steven C. Anderson, AFFI president and chief executive officer.
The AFFI piece will be part of a show which will highlight many aspects of the frozen food industry, from profiles of processors and associated industry suppliers to foodservice and retail buyers at top retail and wholesale grocer organizations.
Keebler Joins in ICCA Promotion
WASHINGTON -- The Keebler Co., Elmhurst, Ill., the nation's largest manufacturer of ice cream cones, will team up with the International Ice Cream Association here to promote the sale of ice cream during IICA's Ice Cream For America March and summer promotions.
Keebler, which markets an array of plain, dipped and waffle cones, joins longtime Ice Cream For America tie-in partners The J.M. Smucker Co. (toppings), A&W (root beer and cream soda) and the National Cherry Foundation in the country's largest ice cream promotion.
The campaign kicked off in March during National Frozen Food Month. Plans for the traditional summertime promotion include the introduction of a new theme, "Taste Summer!"
In its 15th year, the Ice Cream For America program is a national retail advertising and merchandising promotion designed to increase sales of ice cream and related products. Retailers and manufacturers are encouraged to put up in-store displays.
