Wholey's Frozen Pollock Debuts

ational here has introduced frozen Alaskan pollock fillets. Packed in 24-pound cases, each two-pound retail bag contains between eight and ten fillets. They are the first skinless and boneless pollock fillets on the market, according to a spokesperson for the company.

The packaging is also unique, said the spokesperson, with full color graphics and UPC coding, as well as updated FDA nutrition labels.

The retail price per bag is about $3.99. Initial sales have been "spectacular", said the spokesperson.

Wholey will soon be introducing Thai Cooked Tiger Shrimp and Indian Cooked Salad Shrimp.
