NGA Announces New Board of Director Member at Fall Conference

The National Grocers Association (NGA) is pleased to announce that Steve Hall, President of Lowes Foods in Hickory, NC, was appointed to serve on the NGA Board of Directors.  The announcement was made at a Board of Directors' meeting at NGA's Fall Conference in Minneapolis last week.

"We are pleased to welcome Steve to NGA's Board of Directors.  His extensive background, expertise and knowledge of the food industry spans over 35 years making him a great addition to NGA's leadership," says Joe Sheridan, NGA Chairman of the Board.

Steve came to the Alex Lee Family of Companies from C & S Wholesale, where he was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Steve has experience with both marketing and procurement as well as with the customer sales and service side of the business.  Prior to joining C & S Wholesale, Steve worked with several grocery store chains, including Purity Supermarkets, H. E. Butt and Fred Meyer, as well as SuperValu.  Early in his career he also sold for the General Foods Corporation.
