ELIZABETH, N.J. -- Two of Procter & Gamble's beverage brands teamed with Wakefern Food Corp. here to distribute a coloring and activity book for Jewish children that centered around the holiday of Purim.

Officials at Wakefern were unavailable for comment, but Judy Ellis, a spokeswoman at Procter & Gamble's Cincinnati headquarters, said, "The Purim activity book is a very small effort that was really initiated at the local level. It was a grass-roots effort and the stores were involved locally."

The 32-page Purim Fun book was filled with pages to color, cut-outs, games and recipes for Shirley Temples, Hamantaschen pastries and Purim Palace cake.
