NEWARK, Del. -- The Produce for Better Health Foundation has formed the Anthony P. Misasi Educational Fund, which will provide support for continuance of national 5 a Day for Better Health efforts.

Misasi, who died in February. Misasi was the retired senior vice president of perishables at Grand Union Co., Wayne, N.J., as well as a past chairman of the Produce Marketing Association here.

"Tony was a man dedicated to this produce industry," said Bob Carey, president of PMA. "His dedication is best exemplified by the crucial role he played in 5 a Day's launch nationally."
