Americans spent over 1 billion dollars or almost 10% of their disposable personal income on food in 2008. But the recession has altered consumers' supermarket shopping behavior. When figuring out how to save on their grocery bills, consumers are making plans before going to the supermarket, leading to fewer impulse purchases.

In fact, 53 percent say they make a grocery list, 40 percent search newspaper or advertising inserts, and 35 percent say they hunt for grocery coupons in the mail, newspapers and magazines. Research continues to show that pre-shopping is overtaking "in-store" as the new "moment of truth" when consumers make purchasing decisions, i.e., what to buy and where to buy it. Pricible.com offers the consumer a useful website to make their grocery store purchasing decision.

By offering this new service, Pricible's seeks to give its users a personalized shopping preparation experience where they can reduce the stress and time associated with grocery shopping by comparing prices from supermarkets stores in their areas, item by item or entire grocery list to save money, save time and reduce stress. Pricible's goal is to inform consumers of the grocery products choices, their nutrition and their cost so that they can make an informed decision.
