Roche Bros. Supermarkets will open the first location of its fresh and prepared foods focused banner in Weston, Mass., on May 18, the retailer announced.

Called Brothers Marketplace, the store will highlight seasonal and regional products in prepared foods, bakery, produce, meats, cheeses and packaged foods. Roche Bros. likens the concept to a neighborhood market or farmer’s market.

"We are thrilled to bring Brothers Marketplace to Weston and beyond as a fresh new way for local communities to experience, share and enjoy food," Rick Roche, co-owner and CEO of Roche Bros., said in a press release. "A kitchen is a gathering place for family and friends, and our new store highlights our passion for food and truly opens our kitchen to yours."

The retailer plans to open another Brothers Marketplace store in Medfield, Mass., this summer.
