RPE Announces Partnership With Onion Boy

RPE, Inc. partnered with Onion Boy, Inc. to be the exclusive sales and marketing agency for the Ohio-based Onion Boy’s products. The partnership with Onion Boy will allow RPE to serve its customers better by increasing its capacity with year-round supplies in all varieties of onions and by offering more packing locations to allow just-in-time inventory for its customers. As part of the partnership, RPE will sustain a full-time sales staff at the newly-opened RPE-Ohio office. “We are excited to be working together with Onion Boy,” says Russell Wysocki, president and CEO at RPE, Inc. “They have a great reputation for providing high-quality and superior service in onions.” Onion Boy is a third generation, family-owned, 900-acre farm and packaging facility based in Shelby, Ohio. Onion Boy also has a packaging facility in Glennville, Ga., that packages Vidalia onions. In addition, Onion Boy has also established its reputation as a re-packer of a full line of high-quality onions, sold at competitive pricing. As category experts for potato and onion growth, RPE will be rolling out a complete onion strategy to its customers focused on delivering category growth to include new packaging, category management and an extensive category marketing plan.
