DALLAS - Schnuck Markets here has adopted MoneyGram as its provider of in-store financial services such as wiring money, paying bills and purchasing money orders, the companies said.

"Not only does MoneyGram provide our customers a fast and affordable way to send money almost anywhere in the world, but they have strong security measures in place that show a true commitment to fraud protection," said David Bell Schnucks' chief financial officer, in a prepared statement. "MoneyGram delivers the same high-level of financial services our customers expect."

The MoneyGram service will be available in 99 Schnucks locations that previously had offered financial services.

Previously, in-store financial services were handled by Western Union, a Schnucks spokeswoman told SN.
