LAS VEGAS — Andrew Borracchini, an employee at Metropolitan Markets at Admiral, Seattle, Wash., won the Best Bagger Championship here Sunday at the 30th annual convention of the National Grocers Association.

LAS VEGAS — Andrew Borracchini, an employee at Metropolitan Markets at Admiral, Seattle, Wash., won the Best Bagger Championship here Sunday at the 30th annual convention of the National Grocers Association.

His prize was $10,000 and an appearance on “The David Letterman Show” later in the week.

Coming in second and winning $5,000 was Taylor Cantrell of Dillon Food Stores, Wichita, Kan. Coming in third, fourth and fifth, respectively, and winning $1,000 apiece were James Wilmot, ShopRite of Hunterdon Country, Flemington, N.J.; Nicholas Lewis, Food City, Abingdon, Va.; and Daniel Busquets, Kowalski's Market, Eagan, Minn.
