TOWNSENDS BUYS GRACE CULINARY SYSTEMS

MILLSBORO, Del. -- Townsends, a poultry processing company here, has acquired Grace Culinary Systems, a prepared foods manufacturer that supplies supermarkets and mass merchandisers as well as traditional food-service accounts.

Grace Culinary has been producing several lines of high-end, cooked, chilled products, packaged in various ways. In addition to conventional preparation and assembly of cooked, prepared items, the company also offers items prepared via the sous vide process of vacuum, in-package cooking.
