Mercatus partners with Eagle Eye on loyalty, data service

Grocery e-commerce platform provider Mercatus has partnered with marketing technology company Eagle Eye with the goal of providing more personalized and targeted digital promotions to its users.  

The partnership will create a “seamless, engaging and tailored online shopping experiences for their customers and improve the overall performance of their loyalty programs,” Toronto-based Mercatus said.  

"Mercatus is committed to providing our clients with the best tools and solutions to drive online revenue growth and enhance customer relationships," said Sylvain Perrier, president and CEO of Mercatus, in a statement. "By partnering with Eagle Eye, we are able to offer our clients cutting-edge customer engagement solutions that will revolutionize their eCommerce experiences and help them stay ahead of the competition." 

The real-time customer data provided by Eagle Eye can be used to develop promotional initiatives that are personalized for the user’s taste and shopping habits.

United Kingdom-based Eagle Eye made the U.S. grocery retail headlines early last year when it signed a multiyear agreement with Pittsburgh-based Giant Eagle to host the regional retailer’s loyalty program across the various facets of its business. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Southeastern Grocers also uses Eagle Eye solutions, as do Canada's Loblaw Cos. and the U.K.'s Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco banners.
