"Sun is committed to expanding the use of Solaris on the Intel platform," said Scott NcNealy, chief executive officer of Sun Microsystems. "I see this as a natural, very complementary partnership for the two companies. The value-added and integration services that NCR offers are just not available from Sun. For our part, all of our efforts are focused on this distributed technology."
