MINNEAPOLIS — Festival Foods Stores, a banner of Knowlan’s Supermarkets here, is putting pink frosting to good use. The retailer is promoting a pink frosted cinnamon roll four-pack during the month of October. One dollar from the sale of each pack, discounted to $2.99, will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Minnesota affiliate. “We wanted to contribute to this important cause, and the fact there is such an active local chapter of Susan G. Komen was appealing to us. As a neighborhood grocer, we really want to support women and their families in our community as much as we possibly can,” Lauri Youngquist, President, Knowlan’s Supermarkets, told SN. Festival Foods created the promotion to contribute specifically to Minnesota breast cancer programs.
