They will travel in a tricked-out, popcorn loaded van that they have affectionately named ShaBOOM to spread the word about better-for-you snacks just in time for back-to-school. The eight-week tour starts in Chicago, loops around the Northeast and returns to Minnesota just in time to make more delicious snacks. “We’ve got the van gassed up and ready to go on this crazy, wild ride,” says Bruce Tanoff, the Boom Tour’s official road manager. “Our goal is to meet our awesome fans face-to-face, and get our great snacks in the hands of some new fans. Let’s get this show on the road.” A recent study says popcorn is among the top three snacks kids reach for after school, which makes the timing of the Boom Tour all the more perfect. Stops on the tour will be at parks, community events, retailers and more, with games, prizes, gifts and plenty of popcorn. The Boom Tour will stop at Chicago’s Kids Yogafest, Philadelphia’s CollegeFest and Boston’s MixFest, to name a few. Fans can follow the route at www.TheBoomTour.com to see where ShaBOOM will show up next. If they miss any tour stops, they can enter the Boom Tour Sweepstakes on the Angie’s Facebook page for a chance to win prizes. Angie’s Boomchickapop recently introduced two new flavors to its already delightfully different lineup with Salted Caramel and Sweet & Spicy varieties. Made with high quality ingredients, each batch of popcorn and kettle corn is free of trans fats, is Kosher and Gluten-Free Certified and is made from non-GMO popcorn.
